Kilkenny Bike Library is a pilot scheme run by Kilkenny County Council to allow people to try out e-bikes before they buy. There are e-bikes and two types of cargo bikes available: a long tail cargo bike and a box bike, both cargo bikes are two-wheelers with electric assist. The scheme costs €40 for a 6-week period and payment is made at Kilkenny County Council receipts office. You can apply to trial an e-bike on the form below. A loan agreement form is signed between Kilkenny County Council and the individual. The borrower must provide one form of photo ID and verification of address with matching names prior to borrowing a bike.
